Today I want to encourage you and inform you that you are not alone. Isaiah 43:1 (KJV) says, “But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob (put your name here) and he that formed thee, O Isreal, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
Sometimes in life, we can feel that no one even knows that we exist and do not matter. Yes, we have family and friends; but when we become isolated and withdrawn, these thoughts can overtake us and cause us to go into a depressed state. The mind is a powerful organ and should be dealt with, with extreme care.
When you are in that depressive state of mind, pull yourself back into the present. Look at all the positives that have happened in your life. Realize that you are not nameless, nor are you worthless. A wonderful thing about being human is that we were given the gift of Free Will. You can choose to think of the positives to pull yourself out of the defunct place: or you can choose to stay there in a place where it drives you to do unthinkable things.
I like the second portion of this chapter. “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” All-inclusive, your issue is part of this solution. The Lord has you on his mind and wants you to know that he knows YOUR name. He calls out to you in the quietest of moments, even while you hurt.
None of us know when our time on earth is up. We can only trust and hope that we have made the necessary arrangements to meet the Lord and see his face in peace. We want to hear the words, my good and faithful servant.
So, be strong in the Lord and of good courage. He will give you the strength to arise and walk confidently, knowing that he knows your name.
