Who and what shall separate you from the love of Christ? Every day we are confronted with situations that require our attention. It may be something as small as what I will wear today that will not distract my co-workers. Or how will I react when Jessica puts me on blast in front of everyone again about my faith?

Romans 8:35-39 (KJV) covers many circumstances: tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword. All of them are vital areas that force us to make life-changing decisions.
In the moment of your decision-making, are you forced to shy away from the principles of Christ? Do we stand on the truth of God’s Word and rely upon them to give us the very thing we need?

I have been in situations that forced me to decide, and that decision, I believe, that the Lord was not pleased with. Yes, I repented somewhere along the way, but my impatience cost me something. It was a setback. We all should learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others. I failed, at that moment, to acknowledge his Word would work for me. Again, when I am re-tested, I will recall God’s promises and trust in them as if he were standing before me.

Impulse decisions can be unwise. But if Christ leads you, then all is well. The outcome should be a victory for you.

When you take your focus from Christ, you leave yourself open to scrutiny. While you walk this righteous path, the Savior will be with you every step of the way.

Yes, we are hard-pressed to make a tough decision in all these things. It should end like this:

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
